Yogurt strawberry appetizer is a beautiful little dessert that can be served as a party food. These easy holiday appetizers can be served for every day breakfast too! Moreover, these are healthy desserts that even kids can make.
Main ingredients of appetizers are beautiful slices of strawberries, placed around the glass. Also there are biscuit crumbs as a crunchy element at the bottom of the glass and my favorite – Greek yogurt. Easy, tasty and almost healthy… Almost, because I used 2 tsp of biscuit crumbs. However you can substitute basic biscuit crumbs for crushed nuts, muesli or homemade oat cookies.
Make ahead yogurt strawberry appetizer
By the way, make yogurt strawberry appetizers ahead, they can last a couple days in your fridge! I love to have these strawberry desserts in stock, haha. By the way, beautiful decoration of your fridge. However, be careful to leave these party appetizers unattended… If you are not alone at home, some strawberry desserts may disappear! Later you can find small dirty glasses around your home, haha.
This recipe makes about 4 small glasses (50 ml).
Which yogurt to use?
You can sweeten yogurt with sugar to your taste, but it has bold flavor with sweet strawberries – beautiful as it is. To make more indulgent dessert, substitute yogurt to whipped heavy cream. But of course yogurt is more healthy option. Use your favorite yogurt! Vanilla maybe? Try different variations! However, it’s best with thick, dense yogurt, such as Greek yogurt or Skyr (Icelandic yogurt).
We think it is a beautiful way to serve the yogurt strawberry appetizer. Moreover, it is nice to have this dessert in a glass as a snack, why not? And it so easy, even kids can have fun to make it!
What else can you add to this dessert? Chocolate! You can grate some chocolate on top. Also, you can blend yogurt with fresh strawberries to make strawberry yogurt. But red strawberries a perfect on white.
