Bananas. Use ripe or overripe bananas that will add the sweetness, easy to mash with a fork. Perfect idea for leftover bananas!
Oatmeal. I used quick oats for this cookie recipe. But you can pulse rolled oats few times in the food processor and use instead of quick oats.
Rolled oats will make them more crunchy, but I like how the cookies look with quick oats!
Leave rolled oats for Granola. However, don’t worry! Both oatmeal types are pretty interchangeable.
Chocolate chips. I love cookies with chocolate! It will melt into cookies and make them more rich. Who wants to skip small bites of chocolate in your cookies? Not me. I am a fan or dark chocolate, but you can also use semi-sweet.
You can use nuts, shredded coconut, dried fruits such as raisins or currants instead of chocolate. Check our healthy oatmeal cookie recipe! Add more flavor with a pinch of cinnamon or vanilla.
